Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, demons, and sinister influences expanding in power within the city.
Note: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the group access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
